A pathway for every stage of the game

JRB FA runs one continuous pathway from U8 to U18. Every age group has a clear coaching focus, and every player — regardless of ambition — is tracked with the same care: a personalized evaluation across technical skill, game understanding, physical development, and character, every three months.

Foundation

The goal at this stage is simple: fall in love with the ball. Sessions are built around coordination, first touch, and small-sided games that keep every child involved and having fun.

  • Ball mastery and coordination games
  • Small-sided matches for maximum touches
  • Fun-first environment with age-appropriate coaching

Development

Players start building a real technical range and an understanding of team shape. This stage also includes a dedicated Development ("Dev") track for players who benefit from extra time on the fundamentals alongside the main competitive group.

  • Expanded technical training — both feet, both directions
  • Introduction to positional roles and game principles
  • A Development track for players building at their own pace

Elite Pathway

Training intensity steps up. Players work on tactical maturity, physical conditioning, and mentality — and play regular competitive matches against outside opposition to test everything in a real game.

  • Tactical training by position and game phase
  • Structured physical development
  • Regular fixtures against other clubs

Senior Pathway

The bridge into senior football. Players take on leadership roles within the squad, get exposure to trials and scouting opportunities, and are prepared — technically and mentally — for the step up.

  • Leadership responsibility within the squad
  • Trial and scholarship exposure where ability allows
  • Direct, player-facing evaluation and feedback

A dedicated goalkeeping program

Goalkeepers train on their own specialized curriculum at every stage of the pathway — shot-stopping, handling, distribution with both feet and hands, command of the box, and the decision-making that separates a good keeper from a reliable one.

Every goalkeeper is evaluated on goalkeeper-specific criteria, not generic outfield metrics — because the position deserves it.

How We Track Progress

An evaluation every three months, across four pillars

Every player — from U8 to U18 — receives a personalized report every three months. Younger players get a parent-friendly version; from U14 up, we speak to the player directly. Every skill is scored from 1 to 5, in plain language, so nothing gets lost in translation.

Understanding the Game
